Not to toot my own horn, but I’m going to anyways. I’m quite good at what I do, and I can say that not from some distorted inflation of an idea of who I think I am or what I think I do. This feeling of quality in product comes from results.
You see, I’ve worked with many construction companies over the past 4 or 5 years, and each and every time I deliver high quality results. My one client, in particular, has received the most benefits of one of these relationships – as we do everything for them.
We do their website, their socials, content creation, their physical marketing assets and everything in between. And these marketing strategies coming from a builder himself is what has worked so well for these guys.
This is why hiring Ashcroft Media Co is a smart decision for your construction company.
Before I became a photographer and a filmmaker, I was a carpenter. I built in Muskoka, Toronto and Burlington for quite a few years before this new endeavour. Doing so taught me not only the language of the industry, but I can build a house with my bare hands – just like you can.
Now, at least through my eyes – being able to market something successfully with photos, videos and writing as well as being able to do the thing that I am in fact marketing is a pretty rare combination.
I don’t know anyone else who operates in that same field of play.
With the one particular construction client we have, I’ve been with those guys since they were doing a small front porch on a tiny house. Now, they’re taking on massive full home luxury remodels and they’re well on their way to custom builds.
I’ve been with them every step of the way, and I’ve documented the whole thing.
Having a professional document what you’re doing helps you to keep pace with yourself. It helps to remind you where you’re at, and where you’re going. And having someone document you building things who also loves building things is pretty special.
I mean, imagine trying to work with a framer – but they spoke, dressed and acted like an investment banker. There would be a lot that gets lost in translation.
This is what happens when you hire a content creator who doesn’t speak the language, who doesn’t love the act of building itself.
I fell in love with building when I was a kid. I built tree forts. A lot.
And then I worked with my dad in his construction company off and on for years and years.
After that, I worked for Horne Construction and went to Sheridan College for Architectural Technology, before deciding that I wanted to play with cameras for a living.
I understand the flow and energy of a construction project, I understand what’s happening in your head, and for God’s sake, I know what a 2 by 4 is.
Maybe this has been your hesitancy with hiring a content creator up to this point. Maybe you’ve thought “I should have a guy make videos for me, but does he know how to shoot it? What does he know about construction?”
And, fair enough. Also, I could just be saying sh*t, so how about this – reach out for a chat. I’d love to get to know you and learn more about your business goals.
I look forward to meeting you.
To Your Success,
Jay Ashcroft
